Userful MultiSeat Linux 2011 increases access to affordable educational computing in classrooms, computer labs, and libraries by allowing up to 11 students to connect to a single host PC at the same time, each with their own monitor, keyboard, mouse and applications, by using USB multiseat devices, and virtualizing the X server.

It is easy to set up, use and maintain, and provides teachers with the tools they need to give their students a high quality computer-based education. Since Userful MultiSeat Linux 2011 is Linux based, the operating system (OS) and application software is all free!

Dozens of free, open source, end-user and education-specific applications are included, such as: Edubuntu OS for schools, iTALC classroom computer management tool, OpenOffice.org office suite, Firefox web browser, and applications for subjects including astronomy, chemistry, languages, mathematics, planning, and more. Hundreds more free applications can be installed with a single click through the Ubuntu Software Center.

With plug-and-play set up, and automated configuration designed specifically for non-technical professionals, teachers and students can start using the computers quickly and easily. Userful MultiSeat Linux 2011 offers the features of a full PC including high performance video and significantly reduces hardware costs, support and maintenance costs, electricity consumption, and e-waste as compared to stand alone PCs or thin clients.

It supports 3D graphics, per-seat USB, 2-way audio, and all major USB multiseat devices and video cards, including the HP t100/t150/t200, Atrust M200/M202, Goodway DU2600, ViewSonic VMA10 devices as well as Intel, ATI and NVIDIA video cards.
