TapiRex Description

TapiRex shows a contact for an incoming phone-call with image, name and company. Microsoft Outlook is supported as source for the addresses as well as any other ODBC-database (like Access, mySQL, SQL-Server, ...).

The program can even show incoming calls on any telephone plugged to any computer in your network (client-server). Any developer can extend the program with its open architecture. A SDK is available from the website. Free Plugins are available (like Speech output of caller, notofication and call history in Microsoft Media Center 2005, ...).

TapiRex key features:

- shows caller with name, picture and some additional information

- keeps history of calls with number, name, date/time, duration of the call and image of the caller

- easy step-by-step installation wizard

- can directly use contacts from or import adresses from Microsoft Outlook, Skype or Windows Address Book (WAB)

- can use any database as contacts' data (via ODBC-connection)

- works in client/server-mode if your phone line is connected to any other pc in your network

- looks up name of unknown caller from the web (i.e. Verizon Yellow Pages for US numbers, more countries available as free plugins)

- available in english, german, dutch, spanish, french, norwegian and swedish

- reject incoming calls with one click (has to be supported by hardware device)

- start outgoing calls by a click

- fully compatible to Microsoft Windows Vista (32bit and 64bit)
