Software Description

SmartPrinter is a print management and manipulation software engine. It is designed to enable emulation conversions such as Epson2PCL, Dec2PCL, CaPSL2PCL, Prescribe2PCL, special language support such as Hebrew, Russian, Greek, Turkish, and create templates for print jobs.

SmartPrinter key features:

- Printing in Native Languages (such as Hebrew, Greek, Turkish, Etc) even with printers that don't have the language fonts built into the printer.

- Printing from a variety of environments (such as Mainframe, AS/400, MS-DOS, UNIX, VMS, etc) that do not know how to print to laser printers.

- Enabling printing from older printer emulations (such as Epson, DEC, Prescribe, etc) to new laser printers that support the PCL5 language without making any changes to the original source application.

- Printing templates and forms on any printer. The templates are saved on the server, so they can be updated easily and immediately. This does not require burning the templates to the printer's memory, so it can be done even on printers that don't have burnable Flash / Simm / Dim memory, though if desired, the template can be burnt onto the printer's memory and only called from the SmartPrinter software.

- SmartPrinter enables you to completely customize your output by adding graphical elements, changing the location of the data fields printed on the page, changing the data at processing time, etc. All this without changing the existing software used to generate the document.

- SmartPrinter can print valid, bank-readable checks from blank paper and a printer that supports MICR toner. The software will print the company logo, bank logo, MICR data and all the check graphics automatically.

- SmartPrinter enables better utilization of a printer's capabilities, enabling you to print different pages in the same job from different paper trays, changing the text size while printing, adding separator pages to the beginning of a print job, stapling the job, etc.

- Send faxes automatically to recipients using the numbers written in the document, without having to dial them one by one into Microsoft Fax.

- Create formatted PDF and TIFF documents for easy archiving.
