SDExplorer Advanced is an extension for Windows Explorer. With SkyDrive Explorer you can make any every-day operations with your documents from Microsoft Live SkyDrive service using Windows Explorer, as if they were on your computer.

Moreover you don't need to install and configure any additional programs or ActiveX components. SkyDrive Explorer will organize the interaction with the online storage itself.DExplorer Advanced has been introduced the support for SkyDrive accounts in Windows Live Groups too.

Key features:

- SDExplorer allows bulk operations with files and folders. Such functionality is not available through a web browser. This increases the speed with which you can work on SkyDrive

- You don't need to know how to work with the SkyDrive service through your web browser. To work effectively with your data in SDExplorer, just perform the basic file and folder operations in Windows Explorer.

- SDExplorer uses the standard Microsoft library for working with Windows Live ID services. Your personal information does not leave this library and is not even passed to the SDExplorer engine. Additionally, all of your online storage-related traffic is transmitted using the HTTPS protocol, protecting your data from snoopers.

- SDExplorer works both in 32- and 64-bit versions of Microsoft Windows OS. The minimum required OS is Windows XP SP3, and SDExplorer will successfully work on Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003 and 2008, and Windows 7.

SDExplorer cannot synchronize files between the SkyDrive online storage and your computer. At least for now. The issue is that the whole concept of the service doesn't intend any synchronization. SkyDrive is your personal 25 GB in the online data-storage. If you want an online storage that allows synchronization, please take a look at Windows Live Mesh™.

SDExplorer doesn't support multi-user concurrent work with documents at SkyDrive. For instance, while working with SDExplorer several users can open the same file, but only the last version of that file, saved by a user who uploaded it last, will persist in the online storage. The correct team-work with documents with the ability to see changes made by other users in real-time is only possible with native Windows Live formats, like Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote.

SDExplorer cannot break the limitations of the SkyDrive system: create zero-size files, create subfolders over the 9 levels of nesting, and manage file creation and modification dates.
