MovCaptioner Description

Make your QT movies, YouTube videos, and podcasts accessible. MovCaptioner allows you to add captions to your movies and make transcripts of your videos or podcasts as quickly as you can type.

MovCaptioner keeps repeating a segment of the movie until you are done typing what you hear. Just hit the Return key and it will save your caption and automatically advance to the next few seconds of the movie, allowing you to zip through your captioning tasks in no time flat. You don't need to be a QuickTime guru, either.

The caption track is added automatically with the click of a button. And clicking the Transcript button compiles all the captions into one concise text file. If you can type, you can make your movies accessible.

Supports: embedded QT captions, SCC Closed Captions, SMIL, Flash DFXP, JW Player Timed Text (TT), Common Look and Feel (CLF) Player, Adobe Encore captions, Spruce STL, Subrip SRT, Subviewer SUB, SAMI, and creates transcripts in both paragraph form and line-by-line with timecode in both plain text and HTML formats.

MovCaptioner can also import text files so you can time them with your movie simply by clicking the Return key as each caption is spoken. It can also import other caption formats such as SCC, STL, SRT, SUB, XML, and QuickTime Text files.

What's new:

- Support for Chinese, Korean, and Japanese text in Preview mode as well as Embedded QuickTime and other exports

- Can now import Adobe Encore caption files.

- All non-embedded exports are enabled without movie being loaded. This will be helpful for importing one format and exporting as another if the movie is not available.

- Checks to make sure MovCaptioner is installed properly in the Applications folder

- Fixed a few codes in SCC import that were not being converted properly.

- Fixed a bug where caption background was not being presented below the movie.

- MovCaptioner will now save project files even if a movie has not been loaded.

- Fixed a bug in the auto-save feature where if the user did not hit the Return button to confirm an edit, no incremental save occurred. Incremental saves occur now with every caption change.

- Fixed a bug in SCC exports for special characters that could cause errors.

- Fixed a bug in HTML export that could cause a crash if UTF-8 was selected as the export encoding.
