Software Description

The Thor HD Encoder / Decoder Test is used to validate that Thor Network Encoders are functioning properly on their network interface. The software validates that the units are online and responding to network requests. This software works for all Thor HD Encoders and HD Decoders, as well as Thor SD Encoders and SD Decoders. This system is only for use with Thor Network Encoders and Decoders.

Thor Broadcast provides support for the following types of signal conversions:

- Video to fiber-up to 32 Baseband composite video channels over 1 fiber

- Ethernet over Fiber-up to 16 individual Ethernet transceivers on the single fiber

- DVB ASI to fiber-up to 16 individual MPEG2 or MPEG4 ASI TS over 1 fiber optic line

- SDI to fiber-up to 16 individual SMPET259M SD-SDI 270Mb/s signals over 1 fiber

- HD-SDI to fiber-up to 16 individual SMPET292M HD-SDI signals over 1 fiber optic cable

- HDMI to fiber-HDMI fiber optic transmitter/receiver for up to 3000 feet

- QAM to fiber -RF 45-870Mhz over 1 fiber

- T1/E1 to fiber-Transport of E1 or T1 carriers DS1 signal over fiber

- DS3 to fiber-Transport of T3 DS3 data signals over fiber

- AUDIO/VIDEO over IP-Video gateways for transporting video signals over IP

- DVB-ASI to IP-Transport of the DVB ASI MPEG TS over IP

- IP to ASI-Decoding of MPEG IP streams to video

- SDI over IP-Encoding of uncompressed or encoded SDI video through Ethernet networking equipment

- IP to SDI-Output of SDI video from a compressed or uncompressed IP Network Transport Stream

- E1 or T1 over IP-Transport of the T1 or E1 DS1 Carrier Signal over IP

- ASI to QAM-Modulation of Digital Video Broadcast ASI Transport Streams onto a standard digital QAM Channel

- HDSDI to QAM-High Definition Modulation of HD SDI signals onto a standard QAM channel

- HDMI to QAM-QAM Modulation of HDMI signals that are unprotected by HDCP, please inquire with our engineers

- DVB-ASI to HD-SDI-Decoding of DVB ASI Transport Streams

- DVB-ASI to SDI-Decoding of DVB ASI Transport Stream
