An automated Craigslist searcher program, delivers filtered Craigslist results, based on your specific, personal preferences.

CraigsPal is an automated Craigslist Search Tool. It provides both a search screen, and an automated reader (portable) screen. The program automatically backs up all user searches, and is accessible on any Windows/Parallel computer – once logged in, all your information and results will be pulled up and downloaded quickly and efficiently. Every search you do in the search screen is saved under your member account for future use. CraigsPal also gives you the option to receive instantaneous SMS and email notifications, keeping you up to date on all the latest results or, using the Digest notification option, you can receive a daily email containing all the links with new search results. All your new results will automatically be highlighted yellow for additional ease and convenience, while also keeping track of your previous hits. You don't have to type a thing, simply click on a saved search and enjoy the ride! CraigsPal is specifically made to save you valuable time searching, reading, and browsing Craigslist.

CraigsPal also has many advanced search features, utilizing boolean search parameters, which allow you to easily and efficiently find exactly what you’re looking for. Using both positive and negative keyword fields, you can drastically limit the amount of "false positive" hits from Craigslist, meaning that you'll spend less time searching superfluous postings, and more time actually getting what you need. It is easy enough to be used by a novice, yet complex and precise enough to satisfy the most ardent of internet search junkies! The things you want or need are just a few keystrokes away...

The Filter screen is developed for the further narrowing down of your search results, and for making your hits even more specific, thus making the searching process even more efficient and productive.(Note: for creative ideas as to the use of this screen please refer to the “How to Search Craigslist” pages on the main CraigsPal.com menu.)

Once you have completed a particular search and have all the results available, you can press the Filter Settings button to enter the filter criteria window. The Keywords pane further filter all the results from the search settings screen, using a boolean algorithm, where the default is OR , with the AND command also available for you to choose. Underneath the Keyword pane, you’ll see the From last: XX days function, where you can even further filter your results to fit within a specific date range. The default value is 0, which equals “all days”, and you can use either the up and down arrow keys, or just type in a numeric value to limit the search results according to your preferences. From here, just press the Filter button to display the new and improved list of filtered search results.

Here is a practical example. If we’re looking for a vintage car from the 1930’s through the 1940’s within the entire United States, we’ll start a new search on the search settings screen and use the keywords “vintage car”. We then select the corresponding category from the Category drop-down menu (in this case “for sale”) (Note: for the purpose of this example, we’ll leave the Sub Category drop-down menu blank, which produces the default value of “-whole category-“) We then enter the corresponding price we’re looking for, in this example we’ll use the values between $1000 and $6500 (but we could also leave this field blank), check the Search Title Only box, and press Start Search.

After we receive a ton of results , we’ll click the Filter Settings button, and get into the filter results screen. In the Keywords field, we’ll enter “1930 1931 1932 ...(all the way to )... 1939”, use the default boolean OR command, and set the results to be filtered for the last 30 days. Once we’ve narrowed down the search results to exactly what we’re looking for, we press the Filter button, and voila, the new and improved search results screen displays all the relevant posts for what we were looking for.

The e-mail digest function is selected, by default, as always on, however you may switch it off in Portable screen>Tools>Settings (for all searches), or by unmarking the e-mail digest box on every new search (this is in case you want to receive digest notifications for some searches, but not for others).

Enter your phone number here if you would like to utilize the SMS notification function. Note that you do not need to enter any dashes or brackets (numeric only data) so instead of writing (111) 222-3333, simply type 1112223333. You also need to select your carrier from the drop-down menu. To apply changes you must press Save to finish.
