Software Description

BrowseControl helps you restrict inappropriate surfing and enforce Internet usage policies in your organisation. BrowseControl can completely block the Internet, allow access only to Web sites you specify, denying access to any domain, schedule Internet ON at certain times of day and much more. E-mail, FTP sites, Instant Messaging, ICQ, Newsgroups and etc can also be restricted.

In addition to restricting Internet activity, the latest version now includes an Application Blocker, which allows you to specify software applications you want to block the user from running. This can be useful in preventing users from using games, messaging programs, P2P applications or any unauthorized software.

BrowseControl key features:

- Easy to use. Can be used by non technical people, e.g. line managers, teaching staff, etc;

- Allow on the fly enable/disable of Internet

- Schedule times during the day when Internet is enabled

- Control and schedule per individual PC or Group, Department, Classroom

- Control Internet access at workstation and classroom level

- Manage from any Windows Workstation or Server

- Completely block surfing and give access to Intranet and work/project specific websites

- Allow access to the whole Internet except for the sites you specified

- Stop or limit the use of any software running on client PCs e.g. games, instant messaging, etc.

- Supports Windows Vista operating system

- Have the ability to block USB devices

- Schedule to shutdown specific computers

- Assign permissions to operators using BrowseControl

- Allow other applications that utilizes the Internet to work without conflict

- Notify a user when he is accessing a restricted website
