Software Description

Live CD Data Studio contains a set of both desktop applications and a bootable image for booting up any system into a DOS or Windows environment.

Whether you need to perform data recovery, data imaging, or to securely erase data, Active@ Data Studio (Live CD) allows you to run the utilities from within Windows or to boot a system up from a self-contained boot environment.

The set gets you all necessary utilities for your PC.

Installed components of Active@ Data Studio (Live CD) include:

- Active@ Data Burner — for burning data to CD/DVD media

- Active@ Disk Image — complete system backup software

- Active@ Disk Monitor — monitor hard disk drive status

- Active@ File Recovery — recovery lost or deleted files and folders

- Active@ Hex Editor — low level disk editor

- Active@ KillDisk — secure disk erasing

- Active@ Partition Recovery — recover lost or accidentally deleted partitions

- Active@ Password Changer — reset Windows user account passwords

- Active@ Boot Disk Creator — utility for creating a bootable CD/DVD or USB flash media

The Active@ Boot Disk Creator helps you prepare a bootable CD, DVD disc or bootable USB Flash drive. The program has several steps for selecting the a DOS or Windows boot-up, ability to include additional files and drivers and command based scripts to be run automatically upon boot-up.

Once the media is created, it can be used to start-up an unbootable PC and perform data recovery, recover partitions, create a disk image or repair security access issues.

The DOS Boot environment provides the ability to run a number of utilities in a DOS mode. The following programs are included:

- Active@ KillDisk

- Active@ Disk Image

- Active@ NTFS Reader
