Application Description

Kandleflies interact via flashing light; to attract others and to swarm in large social groups.

We synchronize smartphones across large audiences and crowds, with custom screen animation ("Swarms"), in a way that;

Galvanizes and energizes crowds, enhances collective social experiences

Provides a platform for positive social interaction - for groups and organizers, in the real world. Imagine the entire crowd at a sporting event singing the same words, then add some flashing screens in the teams colours (synchronized across all the phones)...what a great experience! Take a gig to another level by turning the crowd into the light show, with the smartphones all synchronized together and with the beat!

Download the app and start swarming;

- Look for swarms happening near you, login and join a swarm

- Start your own swarm, using the app (or on the website)

- Spread the word to your friends via email, Facebook and Twitter; straight from the app

Looking for a swarm to join is made easy by the universal search field. Simply enter a keyword like; venue, city, band name, football team. The app will also sort swarms by your chosen preferences, such as music or sport. You can also review the list of swarms according to which ones are nearby, or, which ones are happening nearest your current time.

Once you have found a swarm, click on it to see a preview and to review the screens and the location, etc.

Click the "Join" button to be part of the Swarm.

Starting your own swarm could not be easier;

- Login to the app via your kandlefly account, or, using your Facebook and Twitter accounts

- Click the + button

- Select a name, thumbnail image and type of swarm you want; "Standard" swarms will start at a specific time, "Instant" swarms will start whenever the owner hits the big red "GO" button on their screen (you choose when to swarm!)

- Describe your swarm, select the time your swarm will start, how long it will last and where it will be

- Add a Twitter #hashtag and a category like sport or music

- Choose if you want to sync your animation to ambient beat (great for clubs and gigs!)

- Add your screens, you can select; colours or images, how long each screen should be displayed for and the sequence of screens. Add a new screen by clicking on the + button

- Lastly, click "Activate". Your swarm will join the list and will be available for anyone to join.

- Spread the word to your friends via email, Facebook and Twitter your friends via email, Facebook and Twitter; straight from the app by clicking the menu arrow.
